Technological advances based on well-being.

The new information and communication rails must serve to bring us closer to prosperity. The concept set the tone for the annual working meeting of the Ministry of Communications, which was attended by the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz. To strengthen the leading role of the Ministry of Communications (Mincom) in the computerization of processes, to look with renewed eyes at the potential in the new Information and Communication technologies (ICT), invited the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz , to directors of that body that this Thursday held its annual work meeting. From the Palace of the Revolution, in a meeting headed by the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, where what has already been done was valued and the priorities for future work were addressed, the Head of Government told the representatives of the Mincon that In the current times, this guiding function is vital - which must be accompanied by a more rigorous control and guidance - in order for the institutions to successfully undertake the assimilation of ICT. Regarding the computerization of society, as Marrero Cruz reflected, it is clear that progress has been made and that this new language has permeated the population. In any case, he stressed, it is time to make a sort of cut and identify in which aspects related to the computerization processes of the country's organizations and institutions, progress is not being made at the desired speed. Regarding the above, the Prime Minister said that in some places they have gone further than in others, and that some people still do not perceive how certain activities can be computerized, seen as processes in which bureaucracy and all kinds of obstacles are discarded. or discomfort. Regarding the use of ICT, Marrero Cruz alluded to social networks and how they have already become essential tools in terms of communication. In that universe, he underlined, the enemy of the Cuban Revolution has designed its matrices to attack, to disguise a true lie, to confuse and deceive; And faced with such a scenario, he said, we revolutionaries must go on the offensive and be prepared to generate content.

Tax Portal developed by Desoft.

Recently, the Portal of the National Tax Administration Office (Onat), prepared by the Computer Applications Company, Desoft, was put online, with protagonism of the Divisions of Havana and Matanzas. According to the head of the Onat, Mary Blanca Ortega, now the web is more interactive, with greater visuality and has become a new platform that allows online procedures in its Taxpayer Services section. In the Taxpayer Services section, the new options of Tax Vector, Consultation, Modification of Quotas and Suspensions are available, whose use requires the person to register with the Tax Identification Number (NIT) and the number of the barcode that appears in the RC-05, also known as the Taxpayer's Card, which guarantees the security and privacy of tax information. The Tax Vector service allows obtaining the document that taxpayers use to pay at the bank and that contains all their payments and tax obligations, which is automatically updated every time the taxpayer generates it on the portal. In the Modification of Quotas section, the modifications applied to the monthly quotas established in the case of a self-employed worker (TCP) can be seen. This benefit also allows bookkeepers to be aware of the obligations of their clients, since if they have declared all their associated taxpayers in the municipal Onat, they can consult their information and their own. Through Consultation, taxpayers can formulate proposals from the portal, whether they are discrepancies, suggestions, complaints or denunciations, which are answered by specialists from the Onat.
