Desoft's enTuMovil Services are 12 years old.
If I told you that more than half a million people consume your offers every month; if I inform you that they contributed around one million CUC of profits in 2020; Or if I remind you that on February 26 they turned 12 years as a group, few will guess that we are referring to the entuMovil services, from the Desoft company, which accompany the many Cubans who walk around with their cell phones in their pockets or wallets. Emerged in 2005 under the name of Proción and attached to the Ministry of Communications, it was not until 2009 that they acquired the current name (entuMovil). "The idea was always to create a project that exploited all the potential of mobile phones, not only by SMS, but also to have a range of data services", explains Glicerio Grenot Isac, graduate in Mathematics and leader of a team of just 10 people , which include programmers, marketing specialists, designers and journalists. "When we emerged there weren't so many people connected to data, but now dreams pass as an interconnection platform in which a diversity of services can coexist, that is, everything that can travel around a mobile phone," says Grenot Isac, who aspires to offer tourism virtual reality products. He gives an example of getting to the Capitol and by focusing on the place with his phone, obtaining historical information and details of the building. The social range of entuMovil services today includes products for leisure (including the horoscope), participation events (contests), but also historical (Marti phrases) or news that they maintain with the media, for example, the Cubadebate digital portal, the Granma newspaper, the Prensa Latina agency and very soon with our weekly.
