Business relations increase in Cuba to promote exports.

SOFTEL, DESOFT and SOLINTEL S.A., companies belonging to the Informatics and Communications Business Group (GEIC), took the first steps in the export and import process, for the benefit of non-state management of the economy. During the first quarter of this year, relations between state-owned companies and forms of self-employment increased in Cuba, with the aim of promoting the export of goods and services from the latter. In that sense, according to Vivian Herrera, general director of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), reported in her official profile on Twitter, the largest of the Antilles already has 41 companies that provide the management service of contracts between non-state workers and interested foreign clients. These relations, until the end of March, have consolidated the signing of more than 1,600 agreements, of which 79 are for export, explains the MINCEX directive in its tweet.

Cuba advances in government and electronic commerce processes.

Electronic government is included in the National Plan for Economic and Social Development until 2030, as one of the projects of the "Effective and efficient government" program The implementation of electronic government in Cuba will impact Cuba's path with respect to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, specifically, in relation to health and well-being; to a quality education; gender equality; work and economic growth; industry, innovation and infrastructure; as well as responsible production and consumption. This is how Magda Brito D´Toste, director of Informatization of the Ministry of Communications (Mincom), told Granma, who added that electronic government is also included in the National Plan for Economic and Social Development until 2030, as one of the projects of the "Effective and Efficient Government" program, based on the express will of the State and the Government to advance in its implementation, in recognition of what it contributes to the development and modernity of the country. The directive added that in the country priority has been given to the government-citizen edge because of the impact it will represent on the quality of life of the population and that it perceives their interaction in a different way. "This is the biggest challenge in the hard work that we still have ahead of us, every time we use these technologies to inform the population in a timely, assertive and proactive manner, that government management is ever closer to the citizens", highlighted the director of computerization of the Mincom.

Desoft in the Cuban press.

Regarding the Cuban Press Day held on March 14, the Business Information Technology and Communications Group held a digital exchange with various media. From this fact, several works were published on the performance of the group, two of them in the Cuban Youth newspaper under the title Informatizar Cuba I y II. We extract the fragments related to the work of the Computer Applications Company, Desoft Electronic government If one of the entities that make up the GEIC is known, it is the Desoft Computer Applications Company, with more than 7,000 clients throughout the country. Desoft was one of the first entities to direct its efforts to the implementation of electronic government in Cuba, which is why it constitutes one of its most important projects within the digital transformation of the company in its software as a service proposal.
