he Desoft Computer Applications Company concluded the first stage of the Electronic Government project, with the publication on the Internet of the citizen portals of 146 Cuban municipalities and progress towards higher stages of these websites at the provincial level. As published today by the official website of the Informatics and Communications Business Group, work is currently under way for the portals to become the government's main interface for exchange with citizens. Luis Guillermo Fernández, general director of Desoft, explained that one of the biggest challenges of the project is that the solutions provided by the company and other Cuban entities are integrated and their exit is through these government portals, with the objective that the citizen interact in a single space and don't have to remember multiple email addresses.

Desoft exposes its experiences at ODOO Technologies Workshop.

During the first ODOO Technologies Workshop organized by the Ministry of Communications and the Union of Informatics of Cuba, there was an exchange on the multiplatform and ODOO business management system. This system covers the needs of the areas of: accounting, finance, sales, human resources and is open source, which allows any module to be modified or designed from scratch, allowing, regardless of the operating system used, through a web browser, you can access its interface. The initial intervention, by the Director of Technical Scientific Information of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI), Omar Correa Madriga, referred to the various Integrated Management Systems (ERP) and the positioning of ODOO technology as the second most used on an international level. He also explained how the Business Models approach exploits, being the most competitive and flexible option based on its communities approach. For her part, Deisy Diana Vargas, Deputy Director of Business of the Computer Applications Company (DESOFT) explained the entity's experience in the use of ODOO technology and highlighted that any Cuban company (state and non-state management) can be integrated into the use of it and the benefits of its use, among which the ease and greater capacity to exchange with customers and to develop competitive advantages stands out.

Cuba project among the 2021 World Summit on the Information Society Awards.

The Project: CMHS Radio Caibarién. La Voz de la Villa Blanca / Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, nominated in Category 16- AL C9, Media, after a voting process to opt for the 2021 World Summit on the Information Society Awards ( WSIS, for its acronym in English), has been selected among the five Champions of that category of line of action, this was announced on the website of the event wsis.org/prizes organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). This project has the general objective: to inform, disseminate the material and immaterial culture, history and human values ​​of the municipality of Caibarién, Cuba and the World. Among the results achieved, the most valuable is the status of Champion Project of The World Summit on the Information Society 2020, the OX Awards for Latin American websites, several awards from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), awards for hypermedia journalism granted by the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) and the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC), among others. In 2019, the project received 110,529 page views from 43,938 users.
