This is how Magda Brito D´Toste, director of Informatization of the Ministry of Communications (Mincom), told Granma, who added that electronic government is also included in the National Plan for Economic and Social Development until 2030, as one of the projects of the "Effective and Efficient Government" program, based on the express will of the State and the Government to advance in its implementation, in recognition of what it contributes to the development and modernity of the country. The directive added that in the country priority has been given to the government-citizen edge because of the impact it will represent on the quality of life of the population and that it perceives their interaction in a different way. "This is the biggest challenge in the hard work that we still have ahead of us, every time we use these technologies to inform the population in a timely, assertive and proactive manner, that government management is ever closer to the citizens", highlighted the director of computerization of the Mincom.
In a working meeting with the actors of the software and computer applications industry, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, Minister of Communications, highlighted the importance of the consolidation of the web portal development platform, which allows the implementation of the portals of government and achieves the publication of 168 municipal portals, accepting services and procedures to citizens directly or integrating with the Wellbeing platform; as well as the commercialization, by three companies, of the digital signature; the extension of public registries (Central Registry of Natural Persons) and the Single Citizen File tool.
