Cuba denounces the use of ICT, from the US, for the purpose of social destabilization.

The Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, addressed a letter to the Secretary General of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), in which Cuba denounces, as a member state of the ITU, the events that occur in the country through the use, since the United States of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to incite criminal and terrorist activities, including cyberattacks on government sites and information media. The letter was delivered through the Cuban ambassador in Geneva, Juan Antonio Quintanilla Román. The communication expresses that these hostile actions with the use of ICT are contrary to the principles included in the preamble of the ITU constitution where it is stated that the purpose of this organization is: "to facilitate peaceful relations, cooperation between peoples and economic and social development, through the proper functioning of telecommunications ”.

Two new measures to invigorate the socialist state enterprise .

Two measures approved to continue transforming the state company were presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, Alejandro Gil Fernández, under the proposition that this is the main subject of our economic model. Gil Fernández commented that, in the case of the first measure, corresponding to the improvement of the remuneration system for the work contributed –how the salary is charged in the socialist state-owned company– “we have been taking steps with the modification of the payment system. The distribution of profit was incorporated as mobile income of workers and we made the process of distribution of profits more flexible, among others, to enhance a greater link between the result of work and the salary received by the workers. Similarly, he said, we have been making progress, in line with the agreements of the 8th. Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, to remove the socialist state enterprise, and “we have reached a consensus in the Government on a measure for which there is no precedent, which consists of eliminating the obligation of the salary scale for the payment of wages. in state-owned companies ». The second measure, he emphasized, has to do with the way of operating micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the state sector, as part of the strengthening of the socialist state enterprise. He stressed that, in the case of non-state MSMEs, the "owner" is a natural person, while in MSMEs it would be the State, which has to be represented by a legal person ". Gil Fernández commented that, «we have evaluated several alternatives and this will be done through budgeted units, companies, superior business management organizations, scientific centers and universities that can act as partners of state MSMEs.

Desoft: a company committed to the Cuban Revolution.

Somos is a company dedicated to the computerization of the Society, one of the programs prioritized by the Revolution that began many years ago, the result of the vision of our leaders who saw in computing a way forward and what has been achieved is a sample of it. Our workers, mostly young, come from the Universities created by the revolutionary process, such as the University of Informatics Sciences itself. Neither the pandemic, nor the adversities, nor the manipulations, nor the attempts to surrender will stop us. Desoft workers, faithful to Fidel Castro, to whom they gave their lives for Cuba, which the majority of us defend, ratify our commitment to the project agreed upon and supported by this people in its Constitution.
