Giving continuity to his exchanges with the different sectors of Cuban society, the Head of State interacted with them for about three hours, without scripts of any kind, in one of the spaces of the Havana Science and Technology Park, located on the premises of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI). Young people from the business and budgeted system of the Ministry of Communications, the Union of Informaticians of Cuba, the Young Computer Clubs, projects incubated in the science park, the Cuban Post Office, ETECSA, the non-state sector participated in the event. , of XETID and other entities. In an environment that she described as "innovative and committed", the head of MINCOM, Mayra Arevich, argued about how information technology and telecommunications workers, especially young people, work inserted in the concept of creative resistance defended by the President of the Republic, and thus face the effects of an intensified blockade that leaves the sector losses of more than one hundred million dollars a year. Appointed new director of Desoft, Computer Applications.

The Computer and Communications Business Group (Geic), at the proposal of the Board of Directors of Desoft, Computer Applications, appointed Dany Jesús Valiente Prieto as the company's new director.

The proposal was ratified at a meeting of the Board of Directors in which Ariadne Placencia Castro, President of Geic, Amaurys López García, its vice president, and Rafael Torres Fernández, director of cadres, participated. Engineer Dany Jesús Valiente, graduated from the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI), has stood out for his high professional preparation and ability to successfully lead dissimilar projects.

He has extensive work experience at Desoft, which has provided him with a high command of the organization's strategy with a development perspective.

Valiente Prieto, 39, successfully held the position of Territorial Director of the Havana Division, where he was also Deputy Director of Development; He is currently studying a Master's Degree in Management. Colleague Luis Guillermo Fernández, who for 9 years led innovative transformations at Desoft, requested his retirement but will continue to contribute his vast experience.
