Event associated with Informática2024 presented at FIHAV2023.

As part of the general program of the Havana Fair, the event VIII International Workshop “ICT in the management of organizations” was presented, one of those that will be organized as part of Informatics 2024 for March of next year

Dr. Clara Alonso Suárez, advisor to the General Director of the Computer Applications Company Desoft and president of the Scientific Committee, explained all the thematic lines of the event which include the digital transformation of entities: Strategic planning and change management, Generation and safe exploitation of technologies and knowledge management and innovation in organizations.

This presentation was attended by the first vice minister of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Cuba (Mincom), Wilfredo González and Dany Jesús Valiente, general director of Desoft. During the presentation, the first vice minister of Mincom, speaking, called for greater integration of MSMEs in this sector in the face of Informática2024 because they are all part of the software industry in the country, for greater participation of Desoft specialists in that event and for the search for greater international participation.

While the General Director of Desoft explained the experience in the company of the workshops on the Odoo software technological base of our main products and services and that has allowed Desoft to socialize all the knowledge, he pointed out that this will also be one of the pre-events. Informatics Congress2024.

Desoft and the University of Havana sign Framework Agreement at FIHAV2023.

The University of Havana and Desoft joined together today at FIHAV2023 through a Framework Agreement that will establish the general bases that will govern the relations between both organizations to facilitate and promote reciprocal exchange, carry out joint projects and actions related to applied research, professional practices, training and introduction of the results of science in the economy.

Among other actions, it will be easier for Desoft specialists to take postgraduate, diploma and doctoral courses, as well as the possibility for UH students to carry out their work practices, course work and diploma in our company.

The member of the Council of State and rector of the UH, Miriam Nicado García, and the General Director of Desoft, Dany Valiente Prieto, participated in the signing of the agreement.

Desoft's experiences at Fihav2023.

“The internationalization of services, Desoft's work in exports in the ICT sector” was the topic presented by the company's General Director, Dany Jesús Valiente Prieto, as part of the general Fihav2023 program that began this Monday at Expocuba and will last until Friday.

During his speech, the manager explained how exports have diversified with 21 export projects for 15 clients being served so far in 2023, 5 of them with Odoo technology, the basis of the company's technological development.

He also highlighted the information technology services contract that is being executed with the Spanish company PeopleWalking with 3 active projects and which was the precedent for the International Economic Partnership Contract that Desoft currently has.

At this time, Valiente Prieto clarified, the business strategy is fundamentally directed towards companies and institutions organizing events because Cuba is a member of COCAL, Federation of Congress and Related Entities of Latin America and through the ICT section of the Chamber of Trade is expected to be strengthened within the sector's clusters and in the organizations in charge of promoting foreign trade, especially in Latin America.

At another point in his speech, he narrated the main difficulties in this sector for the Cuban business community and some of the measures that the company is adopting to increase exports in information technology services.
