Desoft strengthened its digital ecosystem and its software as a service strategy, focused on generating alliances.

It also expanded its capabilities in the foreign market, it was said at the meeting. Among the results of the year, the certification of Zoom stands out, the ERP (acronym for Enterprise Resource Planning) of the Cuban location of Odoo.

It is a business management system originally created by the Belgian company Odoo that was adapted by Desoft to Cuban legal standards and is now marketed through the software as a service modality. Based on this technology, Desoft implemented other products, such as the Automated Water and Sanitation Management System (Sagas), for the Aqueduct and Sewerage companies in the country. Also the Sales and Production Management System (Promac), for the Construction Materials Business Group (Geicon), and developed Fevexpo, the first Cuban platform for virtual and hybrid events

The official estimated that among the most significant solutions offered by Desoft is the ERP ZOOM Cuban Localization of Odoo, developed on the community version provided by the Belgian company that authored the product, and adapted to national standards and regulations, mainly in financial accounting matters.

This technology integrates more than 40 modules or applications for the management of different areas of a business and, thanks to it, it was possible to develop a platform for the implementation of virtual stores to which financial, marketing and communication services are incorporated.

A meeting is held between the economic actors of the Computer Applications and Services Industry and the directors of the Ministry of Communications (MINCOM) of Cuba

The activity, chaired by the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, the First Vice Minister, Wilfredo González Vidal and the Vice Minister Grisel Reyes León brought together representatives of companies, MSMEs and self-employed workers belonging to the sector.

At the meeting, the organization chart of the Ministry of Communications was shown with respect to the development of the Information Technology Industry and the digital transformation of the country, for a greater understanding and knowledge by the economic actors of the sector, of the internal functioning of the entity and the process per se.

The updated legal framework was presented, with its 2 Decrees, 5 Law Decrees, the 6 CECM agreements and the 98 Resolutions and instructions, where criteria and suggestions regarding its implementation in private MSMEs were exchanged.

The 6 Projects that conceive the 6 strategic axes of the National Development Plan 2030 (PNDES 2030) for which the MINCOM is responsible were explained. The participation of these actors was promoted with proposals and innovative projects that can be applied.

Reyes León, in one of his presentations, explained that the digital transformation process is "an open project that aims to improve itself with experience and good practices".
