What is the strategy for software development in Cuba?.

About the software development strategy in Cuba, about how the different economic and social sectors are involved in this activity, and what is the participation of state and non-state economic actors, was discussed at the Round Table on Tuesday, which included with the presence of authorities from the Ministry of Communications, the Informatics and Communications Business Group and the Union of Informatics of Cuba.

At the beginning of the television program, the Deputy Minister of Communications, Grisel Reyes, referred to the development of the software industry in Cuba, which had its origins at the beginning of the revolutionary process.

Reyes explained that there are 30 entities in the country dedicated to the development of computer applications and services, including 24 business entities and two scientific-technological parks, one in Havana and the other in Matanzas. In addition, four budgeted entities, including the Young Computing Club and the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI), which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2022 and has graduated more than 16,000 professionals during that time.

Of the new forms of economic management, he added, there are 124 companies dedicated to software development: two non-agricultural cooperatives, three with state participation and the rest with private capital.

The national development strategy also includes the promotion of spaces for collaboration, scientific development and innovation.

Fruitful day for Desoft at FITCuba2022.

As part of this second day of FITCuba2022, specialists from Desoft's Business Integration Division exchanged with a representative of the mipyme Pyxel Solutions for a new export business and spoke with the international payment gateway Come2pay with the aim of consolidating working relationships.

Other activities on this day included exchanges with the Matanzas Scientific and Technological Park, of which the company is one of the shareholders, the GET Tourism Electronics Group, the Cubatur travel agency, the Blue Diamond hotel chain and the Paradiso and Turarte agencies, among others.

Fevexpo, the Information Security Suite, the SAGEN Platform for the control of energy resources from consumption and entuMovil services were among the products and services offered by Desoft The Desoft Team also spoke with Julio Antonio Trapaga, team leader and Director of Electronic Commerce of the Vice Presidency of Operations of ETECSA and leader of the Transfermóvil platform for electronic commerce.

President of Cuba visits Desoft stand at FITCuba2022.

After the inauguration of the most important tourism event in Cuba, based in the Plaza América complex in the Varadero resort, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, together with the country's authorities, toured different rooms where collateral events of FITCuba2022 are held.

Among the halls visited by Díaz-Canel was the Expo on Technologies associated with Tourism and he exchanged with several of the represented entities. As part of his tour, he went to the Desoft stand and once there he greeted each of the company's representatives.

On this first day of FITCuba2022, we were also visited by Mayra Averich, Minister of Communications of Cuba and the Vice Ministers of Tourism and Communications Mayra Álvarez and Ernesto Rodríguez, respectively.

During her stay in the room, the head of communications in Cuba called on the actors associated with informatics in the country and present at this event to join in order to achieve greater skills and use the human capital formed by the Revolution.
