Congratulations to the Business Group of Information Technology and Communications on the 8th Anniversary.

This January 5th, the Computer and Communications Business Group (GEIC) reaches its 8th Anniversary. The GEIC is a Higher Organization for Business Management (OSDE), whose main activity is linked to information technology and communications, and the development of ICT products and services, for medium and large companies, with quality and competitive costs, with the so that access to the information and knowledge society is a universal right, satisfy domestic consumption and increase exports.

Four Cuban projects nominated for the WSIS awards.

Four projects prepared by Cuban specialists make up the list of nominees for the 2023 Awards of the World Summit on the Information Society, organized by the ITU, the Ministry of Communications reported today. In this edition, Cuba, as a member country of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is nominated in categories two, Information and Communication Infrastructure, with the project Club Móvil Joven Ecológico; and in number six, Favorable Environment, with My light on the mountain, both from the Young Computer and Electronics Club.

They are also applicants in category seven, Electronic Government, the Single Window project for Foreign Investment in Cuba, of the University of Informatics Sciences; and in the 15th, Cultural diversity and identity, linguistic diversity and local content, the work Cultural Billboard of the Cuban Culture, from La Papeleta. Desoft CEO sends congratulatory letter for the new year.

With regard to the new year, the General Director of Desoft, Luis Guillermo Fernández Pérez sent a congratulatory letter to the institutions, clients and workers of the company, the text of which we reproduce below:

"The year 2022 comes to an end, a difficult period for the company and the country, but we are pleased to have fulfilled our obligations and continue with the objectives of collaborating in the digital transformation of the country.

New projects await us in 2023. It will not be less complicated, but we intend to keep moving forward. It will be a special year for Desoft for its 25th anniversary to be celebrated on February 9.
