As part of the activities prior to the XIX International Computer Convention and Fair 2024 to be held next week in the Cuban capital, the Computer Applications Company, Desoft, developed the “Odoo with Desoft” workshop with the purpose of socializing its experiences in the use of this Integrated Management System that offers modules for all the processes of an entity, known as ERP, for its acronym in English.
From this application, created by a Belgian company, which has more than 7 million clients in the world, Desoft developed Zoom LC (Cuban localization of Odoo), a scalable Integrated Management System that offers modules for all processes of an entity, and that has been certified by all the governing entities of the country from the accounting point of view, product quality and computer security.
The workshop was held at the Habana Libre Hotel and included the participation of more than 70 Cuban companies and other organizations interested in introducing this software, through which they will be able to monitor all the entity's indicators, measure the management of their processes 24 hours a day. , from any computer including mobile devices.
The event program included a keynote lecture by Aylin Febles Estrada, President of the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba on Digital Transformation, needs and challenges in contemporary Cuba, where she highlighted the role of innovation and the need for solutions correspond to the computerization priorities given the current situation of the country.
Febles also highlighted the imperative need to educate all Cuban public servants so that they know what it means to provide a digital service, as well as the importance of our public policies introducing the issue of data management as assets to be socialized with. the proper protection that is required.
From the intervention of Dany Valiente Prieto, General Director of Desoft, attendees were able to learn about the results and transformations of the company with more than 26 years dedicated to finding solutions for business and government management, electronic government itself and services for positioning in the digital environment. During the workshop, in addition to learning about all the products developed by the company that are based on Odoo, participants attended sessions for clients or potential clients of the application and programmers interested in developing solutions from this software. Zoom LC, the Cuban localization of Odoo developed by Desoft, has strategic clients such as the General Customs of the Republic, the Mariel Container Terminal, the company Almacenes Universales, the ETI (Biocubafarma Information Technology Company) and Medicuba. This event is a prelude to the VIII International Workshop “ICT in the management of organizations” managed by Desoft at the Convention Center as part of Informática 2024 and was attended by executives from the Computing and Communications Business Group (Geic ), as well as other heads of companies and entities interested in socializing the application.
