Although since 2020 the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba has been working with the so-called clusters, these days these groups are consolidating and strengthening, in line with the strategy of accompanying their associates, say companies and new economic actors, in the processes linked to trade, investment and business development, and boost their role.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Particularly in the second of these meetings, in addition to presenting the chamber programs and services in correspondence with the Business Development Strategy, the participants exchanged on the challenges to face in order to increase competitiveness, improve and diversify services, and achieve a true integration that makes it possible to open up more to exports.

Antonio Luis Carricarte, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, stressed Thursday that if a sector requires the maximum institutional support, it is that of communications and information, for transversalizing the entire society and economic processes, for being very dynamic and technology, for which he reiterated his organization's willingness to contribute in terms of training, promotion, advice and identification of opportunities.

This sector is atypical, it becomes the driver of other branches, so we are facing a cluster called to do many things in order to advance in the fulfillment of the country's strategies, he said in the presence of Grisel Reyes, Vice Minister of Communications, and of Ivón Garzón, deputy director of Exports of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.
