Soluciones D Team from Sancti Spíritus, ASI from Las Tunas and ServiSoft from Guantánamo, are the first state MSMEs of the Computer Applications Company, Desoft, which this October celebrates its first year of operation. Subsequently, Adatecs of Villa Clara, Alabbi of Cienfuegos, Avilasoft of Ciego de Ávila and Novaxaas of Pinar del Río were created.
This month also begins the Gransoft state MSME, corresponding to the Granma province.
Based on the decision to transform the company, we have sought to streamline Desoft's strategy based on its Everything as a Service (Xaas) business model, taking into account the strength achieved with our technological infrastructure, so that we can bring more our solutions to the needs of the territories, to the universities, research centers and local projects of the provinces and municipalities.
For these changes, it was taken into account that Cuba is moving towards decentralization, with the intention that resources are generated and managed closer and closer to where the economic fact takes place, with less verticality in the administration of the state business sector and with it closer proximity of the company to the needs of the territories. It is an advantage that the company is present throughout the country, and we seek to be a more competitive organization in the labor market of the software industry, not only within the country, but also abroad. It has been a year of learning, not without setbacks, but we accumulated experiences, new services and excellent economic results that have allowed us to retain staff and consolidate many of the products and services.
