To provide the population with updated information on two important events that will take place between March 18 and 22 in Havana: the XIX International Computer Convention and Fair 2024 and the third edition of the “Patria” Colloquium, this Wednesday, March 13, was dedicated March the Round Table. Engineer Wilfredo González Vidal, First Deputy Minister of Communications and Executive President of the XIX International Computer Science Convention and Fair 2024, said when speaking on television that next Monday the 18th a new edition of the aforementioned convention and its associated fair will be inaugurated. “It is an event that began in 1988; It has been maintained systematically and today for us it constitutes the main scientific event and exhibition of information and communication technologies in our country,” he said. “It is not a coincidence that in the last two editions we talk about issues linked to the digital society, to digital transformation. This is undoubtedly a purpose of the Ministry of Communications, of the rest of the national organizations and entities, because digital transformation is truly a very transversal process throughout the economy and society,” said González Vidal.
