Representatives of China and Cuba signed an agreement on cybersecurity today, which they ensured ratifies the will of their governments to work for an internet based on the development and well-being of the peoples.
The agreement was signed by the Island's Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich, and Cao Shuming, Deputy Head of Cyberspace Administration of the Asian giant, in the context of a working visit made by a high-level delegation, headed by the Vice Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo.
During the day, the leader also discussed various issues on the bilateral economic agenda with the executive vice president of the China Development Bank, Wang Weidong, and the president of the Export Credit Insurance Corporation, Sheng Hetai. Likewise, he was received by Han Fangming, who heads the Charhar academic institute, and with whom he agreed to strengthen educational and cultural exchanges between both territories.
Perdomo arrived in Beijing last Thursday and since then has spoken with high-ranking Chinese authorities such as Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing, the head of Industries and Information Technology, Jin Zhuanglong; the president of the Agency for International Development, Luo Zhaohui, and Zeng Yixin, vice president of the National Health Commission, among other figures. His working visit will continue in Changchun, Jilin province, where he will meet with local authorities and tour the Changheber joint venture.
