As part of the 38th edition of the Havana International Fair FIHAV2022, the Information Technology and Communications Business Group (GEIC) and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, held the V Edition of the Information Technology and Communications Workshop for the Society, ICT 2022. .
The Minister of Communications of Cuba, Mayra Averich, the president of Geic, Ariadne Plascencia and the executive president of ETECSA Tania Velázquez, participated in this event.
As part of the panel on the most representative success stories of integration between various actors and with the greatest impact on the digital transformation of strategic sectors, Elena Julia Real Castro, Territorial Director of the Division in Pinar del Rio discussed the Digital Ecosystem of Electronic Government developed by Desoft.
The Computer Applications Company, fulfilling its mission to computerize Cuban society, develops and deploys an electronic Government platform that contains applications, which provide information to the citizen about the public management of the government and entities.
All this with the aim of improving institutional processes and creating channels that allow increasing citizen participation. In addition to the provincial and municipal government portals managed by Desoft, you can access the Internal Government Management system, which is an application that has several modules that are responsible for managing various government processes at the municipal, provincial, and national levels.
The project integrates other solutions such as E-ProgTV, the Electronic Programming Guide management system for the ICRT, which is in charge of managing the content of each channel, where each provincial citizen portal obtains the television billboard of the national channels and the telecentre of the territory.
Another application that is integrated into this government platform is the AnúnciateCuba web site produced and attached to the EntuMovil Services, of the company, conceived mainly with the purpose of facilitating the national public the promotion of various classified ads of social interest which are visible in each provincial citizen portal prioritizing, in the first instance, the classified ads of the province.
The deployment of this infrastructure in the Desoft public cloud, in the Data Center, makes it possible to provide services to governments and entities on the software as a service (SaaS) modality and access from anywhere for the different roles of the project. Along with the theoretical event, an associated Virtual Fair is being developed to promote the industry's products and services, which will be available during the months of November and December, through the Cuban platform for virtual events FEVEXPO at https://tics. zoom.cu/event/2
