The Territorial Division of the Computer Applications Company, Desoft Sancti Spíritus was recognized by the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba during the closing of the II Economic-Productive Conference Cuba 2022
The award was presented during the closing of the II Economic-Productive Conference Cuba 2022, which took place in June in the country's capital, with the purpose of contributing to the productive chain for exports, import substitution and investment. foreign; promote the sale of idle inventories; promote the use of digital platforms for the promotion and negotiation between the different electronic actors, among other objectives.
The mission of this entity here lies in developing and marketing comprehensive computer products and services associated with Information Technologies to contribute to the sustainable development of society. Desoft Sancti Spíritus has a workforce of 95 workers, characterized by its youth and high qualifications: 85 percent of the group has a higher education degree and 57 percent is under 40 years of age.
Distinguished by their mastery of modern technologies and tools for the development of computer products or applications, they are also dedicated to working according to business management processes. Its more than 275 clients from different sectors of the economy improve internal management thanks to the computerization of processes, fundamentally in the accounting-financial, human resources, and energy carrier areas, among others. In addition, the role played by this entity in the process of monetary unification, in the development of web portals to promote electronic government, together with applications for managing delegates and serving the population, is considered decisive.
Many of its clients requested the website development service during 2021 due to the need to maintain an Internet presence to give visibility to their organizations. Likewise, Desoft worked on different systems that support the computerization of business processes, for example, for the control of the batches formed and finished for drums destined for export at the Honey Plant, for the maintenance of roads and for realization of the water balance in the territory.
The results obtained by Desoft here also include participation in an export project with the Spanish company People Walking S.A., numerous deployments of Versat and Energux to computerize accounting and energy carrier management, and the start of negotiations with the new forms of non-state management. All of the above is achieved with a high degree of efficiency: the overachievement of income and profits supported the salary increase and in turn resulted in greater contributions to the budget, both from the territory and the country.
