Less than a year after its creation, Fevexpo, the first Cuban platform for online events, incorporates new features for the next congresses and meetings that it will host.
Yerandy Nuñez Hernández, head of the project at the computer applications company Desoft, told the Cuban News Agency that the tool adds the possibility of the organizers consulting the statistics on the number of visits their stand has received and offers a navigation map and new designs in the different exhibition areas.
The specialist reminded the press that Fevexpo is a solution implemented by Desoft with Odoo technology, as part of its development strategy.
It proposes the creation of personalized websites with the client's own domain or subdomain of the entity integrated into the Information Technology and Communications Group and its design is adaptable from any device, whether PC, mobile or tablet, explained Nuñez Hernández.
With Fevexpo, its creators transferred the idea and operation of a professional event with pavilions to the virtual world, so that exhibitors can show interested parties their products, services and additional content online.
In the case of Informática 2022, the most important convention in the Antillean nation on information and communication technologies, the tool will support Stand Cuba, with innovative projects in the ICT sector.
Nuñez Hernández said that Fevexpo offers the possibility of a networking room and other spaces to manage and make appointments and contact networks, whether between the participant, the exhibitor or any other visitor, and includes an information bureau, chat room and another conference.
The first platform to manage online events in Cuba arose from the need to establish meetings and alliances under the new dynamics imposed by the pandemic, a transformation that offers advantages such as reducing the costs of professional meetings, by eliminating logistical expenses of assistance.
Having your own platform means holding national meetings without any type of restriction, contrary to what happens when trying to use programs like Zoom, prohibited for Cuba due to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
