In order to evaluate the progress in the chamber support program, the actions under development, the limitations to specify exports and the projections for 2022, it was held this Monday at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba (CCRC ) the Sectorial Assembly for the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector chaired by Grisel Reyes León, vice minister of the Ministry of Communications (MINCOM), and Luis G. Fernández Pérez, president of the section.
The event, which took place in a blended way, had the participation of Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona and Rubén Ramos Arrieta, president and vice president of the CCRC, respectively, as well as other directors of the institution itself, the MINCOM and associated companies of the Sector. of ICT of all forms of management. In his initial speech, Carricarte Corona highlighted the participation of the Guajiritos company, the first MSME associated with the Chamber, and pointed out the need to continue promoting the integration of all the actors involved in the country's economic scenario to continue diversifying and increasing exports in all strategic sectors.
In the framework of the Assembly, the results obtained to date in the chamber's support program for the sector were presented, and it was learned that 20 Chambers and Sectorial Associations have been identified in 17 countries; as well as the affiliation to the Federation of Associations of Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal of Information Technology and Communications entities (ALETI). Other actions that transcended the day were the approach of the CCRC with the Sectoral Chambers CasaTIC, AMITO, CAPATEC, among others; as well as the identification of the main markets and the promotion to attract participation in FELTI.
