The Minister of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella chaired the meeting with vice ministers and equivalent positions that attend to Computerization in Bodies, OACE and National Entities. In it, the computerization work projections for 2021 were addressed, in relation to government and electronic commerce and the strengthening of the Union of Informatics of Cuba. Regarding electronic government, he referred to advance in the implementation of electronic government, with a growing participation of the national industry of computer applications and services. Emphasis was placed on the priority of computerizing the processes, increasing the publication of online services, completing the computerization of the Public Registries of natural persons; as well as advancing the usability of public Internet portals and promoting the generation of content. On electronic commerce, expand electronic payment capabilities, as well as implement incentives and bonuses. Regarding the strengthening of the Cuban Computer Union, the actions are aimed at consolidating the membership and base delegations of the UIC and achieving greater ties in development projects: local and sectoral. In the second moment of the meeting, the Digital Government Observatory of the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana was presented. This observatory is an information system of strategic scope in order to manage the information that evidences the degree of development of the digital government in Cuba, as well as international trends and good practices on the subject.
