The University of Las Tunas and the Computer Applications Company (Desoft) in the territory signed an agreement, in which important mutual cooperation agreements are established that promote the use of infrastructures, computerization of processes and postgraduate training. Yoenia Virgen Barbán Sarduy, first vice-rector, signed the agreement for the House of High Studies, while for Desoft, its director Yunior Agüero Rodríguez. The agreement favors the comprehensive training of professionals in related careers, the updating of teachers on modern technologies and the joint execution of research and development projects, thus turning the Academy into a high technology laboratory. According to the vice-chancellor of the University of Las Tunas, one of the aspirations pursued with the agreement is to turn the company from Tunisia into a teaching unit, so that students of Computer Engineering and Bachelor of Computer Education are nurtured by professionals from the entity, who must be categorized soon. “We have the challenge of working on the issue of doctoral training, as they are preparing in other provinces. There are good professionals in both institutions and getting them trained here would raise the scientific level of the territory ”, added the directive. The University of Las Tunas currently strengthens the link with local companies, especially with those that belong to the key areas established by the country's leadership for the nation's socioeconomic development, given the complexities of the current scenario.
