With the aim of raising the quality of life, the participation of the population in government management, production and services, the Mercantile Society of the Matanzas Scientific and Technological Park was recently established. Several institutions signed as shareholders, among them the Desoft Computer Applications Company in the person of its General Director, Luis Guillermo Fernández Pérez. This is the second park of this type created in Cuba after the enactment of the legal norm approved to promote science and innovation management in the country. The event, based at the University of that province, was attended by several vice ministers of the country and government authorities of that territory.
